Gossip Girl Review: How DAIR They
So much has happened in this week's episode of Gossip Girl. Some of them I loved. Some of them I hated. But all that was full of drama.
In the period after the death of CeCe, Rhodes family is in chaos. While Carol and Lily are arguing, CeCe took control from the grave. It is organized by the Irish. Lola escapes her family like the plague, and instead of hiding in Nate. Serena Nate tricks resulting in Lola to the wake, hoping that she can bring her around, but Lola is becoming more and more convinced of the materialism of the family.
Meanwhile, Georgina in intrigue than usual. Glide over to her husband lets all know that Dan sent in a video about Chuck and Blair, but Chuck also noted as sending tips. Blair is furious with both of them, though she quickly forgives Dan. Georgina, who attends after with Ivy, tends to raise more drama. She sends pictures of Gossip Girl, Dan and Blair kiss stolen phones Dan, knowing that her husband would spoil, and indicate the source.
Chuck and Dan fight for Blair, who is now screwed, because it has not fulfilled its obligations under the marriage, and now her family must pay a dowry. Blair tells Chuck she loves him, but it's not in love with him. No. She loves Dan. In fact, Blair? Just a few months ago you wanted to run with Chuck.
On the trail, Serena's Dad comes in and announces that he is executor of the will to CeCe. Ivy is on the reading of the will, to the discomfort of all. She is also the recipient of almost all property CeCe. The family accuses her of lying to get money CeCe, but she did not. In fact, CeCe Ivy Dickens called it in his will. She knew the truth before anyone else did.
With CeCe apartment belonged to Lily and Rufus live, it now belongs to the Ivy. And it starts them immediately. They were the closest thing to family she had never been, but they left it, and now it takes a bit of revenge.
After the reading of the will, Carole Pope suitable Serena William, and sets some clever blackmail. It turns out that he is the father of Lola, and if he gives her money, she will tell everyone that he was Lily's cheating and make him pay all the arrears of alimony. Thus, a sister Serena. I wonder.
After everything that happened in the early days, Georgina finds Blair and makes it work. It collects favors from anyone to prevent acts of retaliation, when it was exposed as a new girl gossip. It promises to Blair, she can get her out of the dowry, but Blair is obliged to her. She knows that she will regret it, but Blair agrees.
But the plot of the time I was fascinated by the best, most interesting to see where it goes, involves Chuck. While some admitted their feelings for Lily, she tells him that his uncle Jack, saved his life with blood transfusion. It makes me think that we'll get the story arc of Chuck when the show returns later this spring.
There was a lot to progress in this episode, and aside from the Dan / Blair plot, I liked it. Knowing that CeCe know the true identity of Ivy was an amazing twist, and Carol / William thing explains a lot. I loved this episode, Ivy, and I even think Nate and Lola are a kind of adorable together. As for Dan / Blair story. . . Well, it's no secret that I'm Chuck team. Like Dan, I do, but their romance has just moved so fast and was so controversial, especially after she almost ran away with Chuck in the winter. I do not like it. And I do not think this will continue. But we'll see.
