How Many Pairs of Shoes Does a Woman Really Need?

This is a guest post by Andras Deak, SEO Operations Specialist at Higher Click.

We all personally agree that the average woman should have more shoes than the average man due to the fashion awareness of most females but how many pairs of shoes should be considered as okay for the average woman is the question that apparently seeks an answer. Statistics have shown that the average woman has approximately 19-21 pairs of shoes in her closet and women who reside in more developed places own approximately 30-50 pairs. Men who read this would open their mouths in surprise for they are incapable of comprehending why a woman would need such an amazing number of shoes but here is the answer to help them understand why women need such numbers of shoes.

Most women purchase shoes for any one of the three reasons: to boost the self esteem, to feel good and finally, to drive the other female peers to into deep fits of jealousy. While the pairs of shoes a woman should have is difficult to ascertain, the types of shoes a woman must have is known. Below are the 5 must haves for every woman.

5 Types of Shoe a Woman Should Have:

1. Black Pumps:
The black pump is a feature that should be seen in every woman's closet and it is renowned for its ability to go with various attires. The design of the black pump heels can vary from being high heeled to having a low heel and making a choice depends on what a woman feels comfortable with.

The basic design of a black pump includes a closed back, fronts which are low-cut and cover the toes. The Black pump comes with no external decorations such as straps, buckles etc and this adds to its simple but elegant look.

2. Sleek Comfortable Sneakers:
Do not let the name lure you into thinking because I am talking about the average gym shoes. A sleek sneaker should be a comfortable shoe which is meant for neighborly visits and leisure trips to the mall or romantic walks with your partner. The shoe acts as your default shoe for all informal recreational purposes and its ability to provide you with comfort while still looking classy is its trump card. Every woman definitely needs one of these.

3. Tall Boots:
This should be the first choice of all women when the weather condition goes down heel for it protects your feet while also giving you a refined elegant look. Tall shoes can be made of different materials such as leather and it can also be flat-soled or high heeled depending on your personal choice. The beauty of this shoe is its versatility of use, it can be used with skirts both long and short, jeans and pants. For those who are in need of inches in the height department, getting shoes that make you taller is recommended.

4. The Evening Shoe:
The closet of the working class woman, stay at home mum and even a tom-boy is incomplete without this shoe for it epitomizes the outgoing woman. The evening shoe comes in different shapes, colors and sizes but it is recommended to always go for one that suits the clothing items already in your wardrobe. This elegant shoe should be one with evening gowns and ball dresses to bring out a woman's beauty. If worn well, the chances of meeting your prince charming on an outing increases from 0 to at least 40%.

5. Flats:
The joy of flats is the level of comfort your feet gets when you put on one. Flat shoes are recommended to ladies who use heels for extended periods, it helps your feet and leg muscles relax while still giving you the stylish look you desire. Most short women tend to avoid putting on flats but its comfort and balance should encourage every woman regardless of their height to own one.

After all has been said and done, the choice of how many pairs a woman needs lies solely in her hands and her level of income. The feeling of well-being and joy gotten from the purchase of a new pair of shoe should be the driving force in determining if you need an additional pair or not.
